Like floats in the holding area,
cats sprawl on hardwood, tails
flicking.
Woman puts her feet on the floor,
pushes out of bed, starts
to the hallway, rubbing her tousled head.
Cats leap into formation,
trotting behind, long tails waving,
proud victorious flags.
